This Privacy Notice explains how Isaac Ervin Armstead ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, and shares personal data when you use SilentSignal (the "Service"). Isaac Ervin Armstead acts as the data controller for the personal data described below.

• Behavioural signals — derived patterns from sleep, movement, and rhythm metadata you choose to connect. We do not read your messages, photos, or content.
• Calendar metadata — timing and density of events only, never event titles, attendees, or descriptions.
• Trusted-contact data — name and relationship of people you choose to add to your trusted circle.
• Usage & device data — pages viewed, features used, device type, operating system, and IP address.
• Support communications — messages you send us.

2. How we use personal data

• To create and operate your account (legal basis: performance of contract).
• To provide insights and the core Service features (performance of contract).
• To prevent fraud and keep the Service secure (legitimate interests).
• To diagnose issues and improve the Service (legitimate interests).
• To respond to support requests (performance of contract).
• To send service announcements and, with your consent, marketing.
• To comply with legal obligations.

3. Who we share data with

• Service providers / subprocessors — hosting (Lovable Cloud / Supabase), analytics, and customer support tooling, acting on our instructions.
• Merchant of Record — Paddle.com — handles payment processing, subscription management, billing, tax compliance, invoicing, and refunds for all orders.
• Professional advisers — legal, accounting, and similar advisers where necessary.
• Authorities — where required by law, court order, or to protect our rights.

4. International transfers

Personal data may be processed in countries outside your own, including the United States. Where data is transferred from the UK or EEA, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses or adequacy decisions.

5. Data retention

We keep personal data only as long as we need it for the purposes described above or to meet legal obligations. When data is no longer needed it is deleted or anonymised. You can delete your account and associated data at any time from the in-app privacy settings.

Subject to your local law, you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, port, or object to processing of your personal data, and to withdraw consent at any time. If you are in the UK or EEA, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority. We respond to verified requests within one month.

We use appropriate technical and organisational measures — including encryption in transit and at rest, access controls, and audit logging — to protect personal data against unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction.

8. Cookies

We use a small number of essential cookies needed to keep you logged in and to keep the Service secure. We do not use advertising cookies. You can clear cookies in your browser at any time; doing so may sign you out.

9. Children

The Service is not intended for children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

10. Changes to this notice

We may update this Privacy Notice from time to time. Material changes will be communicated in-app or by email.
